‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s love letter to Surur al-Saltanah, telling her how he has kissed the flowers touched and sent by Surur. He explains why he could not write last night because of some guests that had to stay overnight due to the rain. He talks about his meeting with Nayyir Qudsiyah and their discussion about the date [probably wedding date] and that they have about eight days left from today, the eighteenth, to the the settled date which is the twenty sixth. He expresses happiness that their separation will come to an end and that Surur will belong to Mu‘azzaz....

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah declaring his love and asking why she is upset and whether he has done something wrong; he tells her that other people do not know how much he loves her and she should not listen to what they say; if she is concerned about the photograph, he declares that Surur has all his heart and if there are some memorabilia from the past, they were only reminders of the madness of his younger self and tells her that she can keep the photograph.
